Vinyl Mesh is available as both a Standard Mesh and a Supreme Mesh. The Supreme Mesh is "less" porous than the Standard mesh and allows less light / air / sound through) The Standard Vinyl Mesh is used frequently for printed backdrops where the client needs to accommodate for strong winds – such as in an outdoor setting. The Supreme Vinyl Mesh is also known as Speaker Mesh and is great for speaker cabinet fronts, or for signage where air circulation or wind is of concern.
Pros: We love this product as it can be vinyl (aka hot-wedge) welded. You will get great color output from the heavily coated vinyl. It is also tested and approved as Flame Retardant, so you aren't limited to using it outdoors.
Cons: The printed surface of vinyl mesh is fairly glossy and without expert professional lighting will show "hot spots" when used in a backdrop scenario. The primary need should be to allow air or sound to travel thru – if you don't have that need, then look to use an alternate product.
