16oz Commando Cloth is a "lower cost" fabric which may be used for stage curtains in applications with restricted budgets. While it does not have the rich look or feel of velour, for upstage curtains and masking draperies commando cloth is an excellent and economical alternative to velour. For a lighter weight version try 8oz Duvetyne.
